Exempt Non-Exempt X Hourly Summary of the Position:
The Machine Operator 3-1 operates packaging equipment in assigned work area and replenishes materials as needed to minimize machine down time.
Operators will run machines, perform quality checks according to product specifications and observe all safety regulations, ensure GMP and quality standards are met, and contribute to the efficient flow of products through the production process.
Functions of the Position:
% of Time Essential (E) or Marginal (M) Functions Performed 30% E Attends to and operates machines in work area, closely observes equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.
20% E Ensures line speed and controls are running according to product specification.
20% E Maintains product specifications by detecting irregularities and inspecting product for defects.
20% E Performs all scheduled quality checks to ensure requirements are met.
10% M Participates in all equipment sanitation activities.

Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Prior experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Working knowledge of manufacturing machinery preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
Basic computer and calculation skills.
Able to learn equipment operation.
Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
