IT Business Analyst

High growth, entrepreneurial, market leading health care company seeks an IT Business Analyst in Minneapolis, MN. This position will be accountable for overseeing the design and development of business critical enterprise applications which serves a nationwide network of 2000
employees to retrieve medical records from more than 65,000 physician offices in all 50 states.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to produce detailed product design; hands-on testing; and documentation. You will interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. You have the opportunity to see your product enhancements go progress from concept to production and become an integral part of business operations.

Some additional duties you will perform include:
Design system enhancements by creating a detailed functional design.
Review designs with developers and support the end-to-end development process.
Create test scripts and perform detailed testing on enhancements and bug fixes.
Perform detailed testing on enhancements to verify all functionality works.
Understand company and customer objectives to discern between critical functionality and nice to have functionality.
Drive collaboration, team building, and consensus.
Expand list of responsibilities as knowledge and ownership increase.

Develop thorough understanding of the current product (application). Understand typical processes, features, functionality, look and feel of the GUI, etc.
Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
Establish, drive and own the product roadmap.
Incorporate requirements from internal users as well as clients into the product roadmap based on priority and applicability (e.g. must be able to discern which requests do not align with the product vision and therefore should not be included).
Educational and Experience Requirements:
3 to 5 years' experience software design, testing and/or implementation preferred.
Experience in product development, strategic planning, and implementation preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or sciences.
Experience in testing applications and application enhancements.
Basic understanding of how systems (objects, tables, applications, etc.) are built to deliver a business solution.
Strong experience with gathering business requirements and turning them into a functional design that can be understood by developers.
Strong problem solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize based on company/customer needs.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Detail oriented.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
