Finance Manager, Manufacturing

Responsible for the analysis, control and maintenance of financial information for use as a business tool by Post Consumer Brands plant management. Information will be used to measure performance, improve operating costs, analyze capital expenditures and contribute to achieving cost and return on investment goals. The position will recommend and implement necessary improvements to move Post Consumer Brands to best-in-class financial manufacturing practices. This position is responsible for the integrity of the manufacturing financial results. This position reports to our Director of Manufacturing Finance with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Plant Managers. Major Job Activities/Duties: 1. Strategic financial leadership in the development of manufacturing operations business plans, expense and capital spending budgets and attainment of those budgets. 2. Plans and develops controls to project production performance related to forecast including labor performance, ingredient usage and waste, and packaging material usage and waste. Develops control processes and procedures for JDE work order review and analysis. Works closely with Supply Chain to balance optimal inventory levels against operating costs and efficiencies. 3. Provides leadership in recommending and implementing systems solutions to provide plant manufacturing management with information to improve operating results. 4. Reviews manufacturing capital appropriation requests to determine whether Return on Investment and payback period meets/exceeds corporate guidelines. Performs post-project analysis to determine if project returns meet estimated objectives. Participates in all capital spending reviews for operations. 5. Establishes and maintains adequate internal controls to safeguard inventory and fixed assets. 6. Provides advice and counsel on accounting matters to Plant Management including methods to address profit improvement, constraint related issues, and new business opportunities. 7. Supervise fixed assets and plant inventory control for manufacturing locations. 8. Reviews and advises on Plant incentive plans and measurements. 9. Special projects as assigned. Job Requirements: o Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA, CMA or MBA. 7+ years of accounting experience in a process manufacturing environment. o Strong experience in manufacturing and cost accounting in a standard cost environment is beneficial. o Experience working in a high growth, high change environment is helpful. o Ability to drive change and to communicate well with all levels of the organization is required. o Strong analytical skills combined with demonstrated spreadsheet skills is also required. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
